Update – Tuesday 6/23
Jon continues his recovery without complications. He is unbelievably appreciative of the outpouring of support and is eagerly learning more about the world of prosthetics! We’ve gotten a few questions about Jon’s dog, so we wanted to update you on Portia and let you know that she is doing well. Word is that Portia “broke out” when the police initially broke down Jon’s door, but was quickly collected by the neighbors. She bounced back from dehydration and was so excited to be reunited with Jon when he returned home from the hospital last week.
Thanks for the update. We were able to make a small donation when we read the story online, and since then have been curious to hear how Jon (and Portia) have been doing. We’re very glad to hear that it’s going so well. It was a terrible experience, but Jon is lucky to have so much support from friends, family and his dog buddy. We’re sending good wishes from Delaware!
